SCORPION CHILD (US)

Scorpion Child produce a sound that hearkens back to when guitar rock ruled the airwaves and made going to a concert the ultimate main event. The five-piece hail from Austin, Texas where they've spent the last few years perfecting both their songwriting and stage presence. The outfit features Chris Cowart and David Finner layering high-energy twin-guitars over the band's pounding rhythms discharged by Shaun Avants (bass) and Shawn Alvear (drums). Last but not least, Scorpion Child's singer, Aryn Jonathan Black, fronts the cavalry with a siren-like voice reminiscent of Ronnie James Dio and Robert Plant.

EYE OF THE GOLEM (IT)

Il concept e la storia degli Eye Of The Golem sono iniziati a Bologna nel 2019. Dopo vari cambi di formazione sono diventati un quartetto: Hari alla batteria presente sin dall'inizio, Andrea basso e voce, Ale e Marc chitarre. La band crea un visionario post doom metal con un violentissimo stile ultra pesante pieno di riff di chitarra rocciosi e corpose linee di basso distorte, parti psichedeliche ed elettroniche, drumming potente lento e sincopato, che sono accompagnati da tecniche diffenti di screaming e growl. Probabilmente Neurosis, Amenra, Godflesh, Katatonia e Russian Circles sono le influenze più evidenti di una band che si evolve costantemente verso diverse direzioni stilistiche. Questi cinque anni hanno portato a creare un album completo, ‘Nigredo’, che uscirà il 4 Ottobre sotto Argonauta/Octopus Rising Records.
