PAGENINETYNINE (US)

Started in 1997, Pageninetynine is a band from Sterling, Virginia who redefined what "punk rock" could mean and be, touring relentlessly and releasing a plethora of albums, splits, singles and more... all from a venerable squad of miscreants on the outskirts of the nation's capital. With a plethora of releases only rivaled by their staggering eight (sometimes nine) member status, Pg.99 managed to amalgamate almost every heavy-music genre into a tornado of punk rock fury. Not punk in a mohawk-mania sense, but with the unbridled raw spirit of youthful rebellion and passion.

Following a series of reunions in 2011, 2017 and 2019, Pageninetynine has remained active, playing select shows and festivals in 2023 and 2024. They recently reissued their iconic Document #8 LP and Singles Collection LP on Virginia-based label Persistent Vision in August 2023.


LA QUIETE (IT)

Formati nel 1999, i La Quiete sono il gruppo screamo italiano, e probabilmente europeo, più imprescindibile e famoso al mondo. Nel corso di questi ultimi 25 anni di storia, si sono esibiti non solo in gran parte d’Europa, ma anche nelle Americhe, in Asia e in Oceania. E ciononostante non hanno perso mai, nemmeno per errore, l’ancoraggio al più puro e genuino underground.

Peculiarità della band è infatti la sporcizia delle incisioni che attingono al grindcore e allo stesso emo-violence.

Dopo un lungo silenzio, tornano, nella primavera 2025, per un live inaspettato che sconvolgerà sia i veterani del genere, che i giovani ammaliati a ragione dal revival screamo-emo-post-hardcore in corso.

Come predetto oltre un decennio fa, cedendo alle onde del destino, la fine non è la fine.


BLIND GIRLS (US)

Blind Girls have a distinct way of making entire works sound like a single composition, both live and on record, championing the punk tradition of playing with as few breaks as possible, if any. Ben Smith’s extraordinarily intense drumming is akin to bands like Ampere and Converge, the frantic riffage of guitarists Julian Currie, Luke Sweeney, and bassist Mark Grant is simultaneously representative of current hardcore and reminiscent of metalcore of days past, and the throat-lacerating screams of vocalist Sharni Brouwer are in a class shared perhaps only with Jerome’s Dream.



OJNE (IT)

Gli Øjne sono una band screamo italiana fondata a Milano nel 2011.

Già grazie al loro primo EP, "Undici/Dodici", hanno presto iniziato a girare in lungo e in largo per l'Europa, suonando anche a festival come il Miss The Stars e il Fluff Fest. Poco dopo, la band ha pubblicato due split con Rainmaker e Улыбайся Ветру, e nel 2017 è uscito il loro primo LP "Prima Che Tutto Bruci", che li ha resi tra i gruppi più acclamati nella scena screamo internazionale. Dopo alcuni cambi di formazione, un concerto leggendario al Bloom per festeggiare dieci anni di carriera e un tour in Nord America, gli Øjne hanno pubblicato nel giugno del 2023 il loro ultimo EP, "Sogno #3".

VALERIAN SWING

As the feature on “Badman (Ting)” from Grammy award-winning UK Grime artist Flowdan might suggest, it would be misleading to label Valerian Swing as a rock band at this stage of their career. The trio’s fourth album, “Liminal,” is threaded with influences from contemporary film score, jazz and electronic music, as well as math and post rock.

“Liminal” is an album where dub co-exists with post-rock melodies, where rapid-fire jazz drumming is set alongside rich orchestration, and shimmering synths snake between layers of bass, drums and guitar. It’s a wonderful marriage of the electronic, synthetic and acoustic elements, a record operating at the edge of things, pushing out into new forms of art and music.

Such ambition and eclecticism has certainly paid off, as this expansive and cinematic record positions Valerian Swing as one of the most exciting contemporary acts in Europe.

Is the duo of Sascha Stadlmeier (EMERGE, attenuation circuit) and Chris Sigdell (B°TONG, Leaden Fumes). It is dedicated to meditative ambient drone music and contrary to their respective solo projects, here the two musicians play conventional instruments - electric guitar and electric violin.

Since its conception in 2019, Bu.d.d.A. have released several limited EPs and the album "Diese Anmut von Trophäen". They have played with well-known acts like Bohren & der Club of Gore and The Legendary Pink Dots, performed at various renown festivals and toured with Drekka (USA) and N (Hellmut Neidhardt). The latest album is an untitled vinyl collaboration with N released by Auf Abwegen.

𝑩𝒆𝒃𝒂𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒊

It’s a musical and performative project created by Virginia Quaranta aka Bebawinigi. It is an all-around experiment. She experiments with a wide variety of genres to create something new; she experiments with instruments but also with any objects that could make an interesting sound; above all she experiments with her voice and theatricality through a broad range of different timbres, vocal registers and colours; lastly she experiments with verbal language often preferring her own personal “grammelot” (an invented language) over Italian or English.

A DEER A HORSE (US)

Massive basslines, a firework of guitars, massive drumming, distinctive and in a way temperamental, muscular vocals. Strong songwriting and catchy melodies – never in the way of their dominant riffs.

This 4-piece band pushes you in the face with their bass runs, heavy fuzz guitars and plaintive as well as nihilistic lyrics with a sometime grim stoner attitude through a mix of doom-rock and a touch of sludge-metal. In other words: You can find A Deer A Horse probably in the gaps between such bands as Melvins, Red Fang, Sleater-Kinney or L7. Either way, this band delivers extremely compelling stuff. Sing along, headbang or both? Your decision!


APEIRON NECROSI (IT)

Apeiron Necrosi unisce diverse visioni artistiche, che si esprimono attraverso il collante comune del metal.

Con il primo lavoro in studio "Sogni Bagnati" (uscito il 3 Marzo 2025) si è voluto raccontare, attraverso la tecnica del concept album, la storia del diverso, di colui che non sente più di appartenere a questo mondo. Registrato in presa diretta si vuole distaccare da un panorama musicale fatto di album quasi perfetti dal punto di vista della produzione.

CHOKE CHAIN (US)

Mark Trueman’s Choke Chain stands as a formidable testament to the relentless evolution of industrial music. Since its inception, He has created an atmosphere fraught with angst that pushes the boundaries of existential confrontation. The journey began with Chain Tactics (2020), a debut that laid the groundwork for Choke Chain’s distinctive style. Trueman’s early work was characterized by its minimalist approach, focusing on the core elements of industrial music. The evolution continued with Endless Death and Invoking Shadows (both released in 2021), where Trueman began to emphasize darker atmospheres and textures. These releases marked a significant transformation, weaving influences from classic Dark Electro and Electro-Industrial into increasingly complex soundscapes that amplified his themes of despair, fear and hopelessness. The culmination of this journey is Mortality (2023), an album that represents years of intense experimentation. Mortality refines and expands upon Choke Chain’s vision, presenting a sound that confronts the harsh realities of life with uncompromising intensity. Through a relentless pursuit of deeper, darker textures and a continuous evolution, Trueman has created a body of work that challenges listeners to confront their own vulnerabilities and the inescapable weight of existence.


YS LA VEY (IT)

Young Signorino è un artista musicale italiano che ha guadagnato notorietà nella scena musicale italiana e internazionale per il suo stile unico e controverso. Inizialmente noto per il suo approccio sperimentale al rap e alla trap, si è fatto strada con sonorità audaci e fuori dagli schemi, che hanno catturato l'attenzione per la loro originalità e il rifiuto delle convenzioni tradizionali del genere. Nel 2023, ha intrapreso una svolta creativa che ha segnato un punto di rottura nella sua carriera, evolvendo in un nuovo alter ego: YS LaVey. Con questo pseudonimo, ha abbracciato sonorità influenzate dal post-punk e dal minimal synth, creando atmosfere cupe e malinconiche, alimentate da sintetizzatori minimalisti e una produzione che richiama le sonorità underground degli anni '80. Questo passaggio ha segnato un'evoluzione sia nella sua musica che nella sua immagine artistica, rivelando nuove sfumature di oscurità e introspezione.
