NADJA (CAN)

Nadja is a duo of Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff—active since 2005—making music which has been variosly described as ambient doom, dreamsludge, or metalgaze, a signature sound which combines the atmospheric textures of shoegaze, ambient, and electronic music with the heaviness and volume of metal, noise, and industrial music. Using electric guitars and a drum machine, the duo creates layered, dense, atmospheric music which juxtaposes melody and noise and demands the listener's attention as much as it embraces them within an immersive sonic environment.

Nadja has released numerous albums on several different underground labels—Alien8 Recordings, Daymare Records, Southern Lord, Hydrahead Records, Gizeh Records, Important Records, and their own imprint, Broken Spine Productions. The duo has toured extensively around the world— including performances at such festivals as SXSW, FIMAV, NXNE, Roadburn, Donaufest, Le Guess Who, Incubate, and Unsound—and has shared stages with artists like Earth, Sunn O))), Tim Hecker, Khanate, Neurosis, and Godflesh.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, the duo now resides in Berlin, Germany.


GOLDEN HEIR SUN

Matteo Baldi è un artista di Peschiera del Garda, dopo l’esperienza come chitarrista nella band post metal WOWS, intraprende il percorso solista come Golden Heir Sun, un progetto improntato sulla musica sperimentale, ambient e drone, con una forte prevalenza di suono di chitarra elettrica e voce. Il suo primo disco Holy The Abyss (2019) è una suite drone sperimentale dove l’atmosfera e la malinconica regnano incontrastati. Il disco è nato dalla collaborazione con la danzatrice Giulia Chiarantini e la videomaker Elide Blind che hanno completato egregiamente il lavoro l’una con la propria interpretazione corporale, l’altra con il proprio contributo visuale. È poi seguita la pubblicazione di “Secret Drone Session” (2020), un’improvvisazione collettiva a quattro elementi, tra cui l’ex compagno di band Kevin Follet, registrata nello studio di Produzioni Rumorose. L’ultimo lavoro si chiama “A Journey To The Underwater Moon” (2025) e nasce da alcune sessioni di improvvisazione con il noiser Euypnos, concretizzato poi in una splendida tape illustrata dallo stesso artista.

Golden Heir Sun si cimenta nella creazione di paesaggi sonori sia da solo che in collaborazione con altri artisti, la sua musica è eterea, distopica e solenne, spesso dipinta attraverso suoni ora presi a prestito dal metal più abrasivo e rumoroso ora dalla tradizione psichedelica, post-rock e ambient.

WITCHCRAFT (SWE)

Dopo oltre dieci anni di assenza dai palchi italiani, tornano i padri fondatori del culto 70s di autentica qualità.

Intercettati sin da subito dalla Rive Above di Lee Dorrian - che ha sempre avuto fiuto per le migliori stelle nascenti dei sottogeneri del doom - nel 2000 pubblicano l'album omonimo che si è imposto come vera e propria pietra miliare del retro rock.

In 25 anni di carriera, nella discografia dei Witchcraft sono confluiti fiumi di progressive, occult rock, heavy, folk, psichedelia fino a un doom più contemporaneo.

Passati sotto la Nuclear Blast con cui hanno pubblicato tre album (l'indimenticabile Legend del 2012, Nucleus del 2016 e il più malinconico Black Metal del 2020), dopo cinque anni di silenzio stampa approdano oggi sulle lande romane della Heavy Psych Sounds Records and Booking.

Il fondatore della band Magnus Pelander presenta così la nuova uscita:

"This album will reap souls and destroy wicked minds. And perhaps mend a couple of broken ones."

Poche parole enigmatiche da cui riecheggiano gli intenti dei primissimi Coven di 'Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls' (1969).

Così, Heavy Psych Sounds riporta in Italia insieme a Freakout Club e Hardstaff Booking una delle band più sconvolgenti e autentiche del retro rock per due date esclusive a Bologna e Milano.


ACID MAMMOTH (GR)

Acid Mammoth is a doom metal band from Athens, Greece. The band was formed in 2015 by Chris Babalis Jr. (Vocals & Guitars) and Dimosthenis Varikos (Bass), good friends since high school, with a deep love for Sabbath and other heavy music. They were quickly joined by their very good friend Marios Louvaris (Drums) and Chris Babalis Sr. (Guitars), Jr.'s father. Acid Mammoth is more than just a band of friends. They are a family. In late 2016, the band recorded its self-titled, debut full-length album, which they self-released digitally in autumn of 2017. The album was well received, and it wasn’t long before the band was in the studio again to record its second full-length album “Under Acid Hoof”, this time darker, heavier and fuzzier.

In September 2019, the band signed with Heavy Psych Sounds Records, which welcomed the Greek Doomers to their roster after the first listening of the new album. “Under Acid Hoof” was released January 24th 2020 and was very well received by fans and critics alike. In September 2020 the band participated in a series of split releases by Heavy Psych Sounds Records called the “Doom Sessions”. “Doom Sessions Vol. 2” featured Acid Mammoth alongside the Sardinian Doomers 1782, in an ultra heavy release that featured three brand new tracks from each band.

In late 2020 the band entered the studio to record their third full-length album called “Caravan”, which was released March 2021 by Heavy Psych Sounds records, alongside the first ever physical press of the 2017 self-titled debut as well as two represses of “Under Acid Hoof”.

Following the release of 'Caravan', the band started touring and playing shows all around Europe, as the world returned to a new state of normalcy after the Covid-19 pandemic. The band did two European tours in 2022 and 2023, as well as lots of shows at festivals such as Desertfest London, Desertfest Antwerp, and SonicBlast Fest. In 2024 the band released their fourth full-length album ‘Supersonic Megafauna Collision’ and for the next two years toured Europe as well as Canada. in late 2025, Marios Louvaris (Drums) departed from the band.

FAETOOTH (US)

Da Los Angeles per la prima volta in Italia, il trio delle Faetooth forgia il proprio "fairy-doom", amalgama eclettico di doom, sludge e shoegaze, che genera un incantesimo musicale profondamente metal ma dai richiami sibillini, romantici e fantastici, nutriti da una linfa eterea ma inquietante. Questa strana pozione musicale dà vita ad un sortilegio intimista, fatato e affascinante ma anche stregato, oscuro e feroce, con cui le ninfe delle Faetooth hanno già meravigliato il pubblico di grandi festival europei come Hellfest, Download e Roadburn.


COLTAINE (DE)

Following the haunting beauty of their debut Forgotten Ways, Coltaine return with Brandung – a bold yet organic evolution of their signature sound. Formed in 2022 in the mystic shadows of Germany’s Black Forest, the band continues to dive deeper into the fog-drenched realms of atmospheric psychedelia, post-rock melancholy, and blackgaze intensity.

Coltaine's latest offering Brandung finds the German combo swimming in a trance-like state across 9 sombre islands of sorrowful psychedelia. The album showcases the band's taste for purely cinematic and "post" atmospheres where droning acoustic guitars melt gradually into harder, yet graceful electric sections. "Grace" is perhaps the most suitable term to describe the overall sense of soft longing for the unattainable as Julia's vocals paint their way through vast tapestries of sheer melancholia. Brandung opens up its lips just like a clamshell, allowing the listener in for a precious trip to the bottom of Coltaine's contemporary visions.

ELECTRIC CITIZEN (US)

Electric Citizen is a Cincinnati-based rock band known for their fuzzed-out riffs, haunting melodies, and electrifying live shows. Since forming in 2012, they've carved out a distinct sound, blending vintage psychedelia with heavy rock 'n' roll. With three acclaimed albums under their belt, they've toured extensively, sharing stages with acts like The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Pentagram, and Fu Manchu.

Seven years after their last release (Helltown, 2018), Electric Citizen returns with their fourth album, EC4—a powerful statement of renewal and raw energy. The album was meticulously crafted over several years and recorded with Mike Montgomery and John Hoffman at Candyland Studio in Dayton, KY. The album was mixed by Collin Dupuis (Lana Del Rey, The Black Keys) in Detroit and mastered by JJ Golden at Golden Mastering in California. The album art was created by Neil Krug (Lana Del Rey, Tame Impala, Weyes Blood), who the band worked with for their first album, Sateen. Now signed to Heavy Psych Sounds, the band is ready to unleash their most potent work yet—a fusion of hypnotic grooves, searing guitars, and Laura Dolan's spellbinding vocals. EC4 is both a homecoming and a rebirth. Electric Citizen is back!

Rome based L'IRA DEL BACCANO melt doom & stoner rock influences such as Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Monster Magnet; the psychedelia of Pink Floyd & Hawkwind; the heavy-prog vibes of early Rush; modern bands like Motorpsycho, Elder, Monolord and the italian progressive heritage.

QUASAI

Quasai is the solo project of sonic artist and musician Francesco Fonassi (Les Giants/Villa Recordings/Canti Magnetici). Along 20 years Francesco have been active in the sphere of sonic arts with electronic, acousmatic and environmental compositions, experimental radio projects, sound based performances, sound field researches, listening sessions, sculptural prototypes, installations, audiovisuals/sensory spaces and collaborative music adventures (with Chorus Abstracta, Interlingua, in duo with Marta Salogni, FreakyFairyFluxFoundation and recent duo Late Ninja). Dealing with analog synthesizers, tape manipulations and acoustic instruments within a feral yet complex approach to mixing and dubbing, Quasai‘s live act brings the audience into a remote, cubistic entanglement aiming for a form of discrete hypno-magnetism.

Since 2018 he co-runs and co-directs Spettro, an independent venue/research sound lab/radio platform/club in Brescia (Italy).


ADOMAS PALEKAS

Adomas Palekas (water / elemental electronics) @someplastic – adrift between (in)organics, electrolysis and astable vibrations, all whirled up in a cacophony of the unexpected, questioning the material boundaries, of electronics. Adomas delves to investigate electro-sonics through liquids - liquids that invite environment, both biotic and abiotic to act upon vitality, whether it’d be temperature, humidity, chemical species, microbial life and its residues or even gravity. Fragile, vulnerable and exposed yet non-separate, circuits of extended phenotype oscillate.


GUIMARÃES

The inspiration for GUIMARÃES' tracks doesn’t stem from specific artists or musical genres but rather from the interaction with the instruments and sound generators at hand. Creativity is sparked within the bioelectronic relationship between human and machines, making it essential to diversify the instrumentation as much as possible.

THE DEVILS

THE DEVILS si formano a Napoli nel 2015. I loro primi due album Sin, You Sinners! (2016) e Iron Butt (2017) sono prodotti da Jim Diamond (The White Stripes, The Sonics) e pubblicati da Voodoo Rhythm Records. Dal 2016 sono costantemente in tour, con oltre 600 spettacoli in tutta Europa, Regno Unito e Canada.

Gianni Blacula stupra la chitarra ed Erika Switchblade picchia la batteria. The Devils incarnano il suono definitivo del caos; il loro stile è primitivo, carico di sesso, peccato e Rock’n’Roll. Sono selvaggi, molto rumorosi e carnali. Il nome del duo è stato scelto come tributo alla pellicola di culto “The Devils” (1971) di Ken Russell. Il loro terzo disco Beast Must Regret Nothing (2021) è prodotto da Alain Johannes (QOTSA, Them Crooked Vultures, Chris Cornell, PJ Harvey) e vede la partecipazione di Mark Lanegan alla voce in “Devil Whistle Don’t Sing”. La collaborazione col poliedrico musicista Johannes prosegue nel seguente album in studio Let The World Burn Down, che lui ha mixato, masterizzato, nonché suonato l’assolo di chitarra nel pezzo ‘Horror and Desire’. Questo quarto lavoro in studio è uscito a febbraio 2024 per Go Down Records, che pubblicò il primo album dal vivo di The Devils a gennaio 2023. Nel 2025 celebrano il loro 10° anniversario con il quinto album Devil’s Got It, un disco di cover blues e soul mixato e masterizzato ancora da Alain Johannes.

La band è stata in tour con grandi artisti come The Sonics, Jon Spencer & The Hitmakers, Boss Hog, Mudhoney, GBH e molti altri. Si sono inoltre esibiti in diversi importanti festival europei, tra cui Azkena Rock Festival e Helldorado.
