DESTINY BOND (US)

Destiny Bond formed in Denver, CO in 2021, and released their 2021 Demo on Convulse Records that October. This was followed by a 4-song 2022 Promo released in June, recorded as part of a demoing session for Be My Vengeance, their debut full-length record recorded by Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studios. The recording session took place in the middle of a West Coast tour in ‘22, and was released on Convulse Records in June of 2023, selling out of the first press by that December. A live recording from their tour with Baroness was self-released via tape in April of 2024, with anticipated plans for a new release and more touring in the near future.

Since mid-2021, Destiny Bond has toured the full US and parts of Canada extensively with Baroness, Spy, Combust, Jivebomb, Spine, Punitive Damage, Cosmic Joke, Planet on a Chain and Candy Apple, and appeared on festivals such as Not So Fun Weekend and Just Another Gig. Destiny Bond embarks on a full U.S. tour supporting Gel and MSPAINT this fall as well as support dates for SeeYouSpaceCowboy. With lyrical themes ranging from the importance of tending to your community, self empowerment, and trans pride, Destiny Bond hopes to deliver the message that we can still find ways to fight like hell and hold our own spaces.

BIG LAUGH (US)

For decades, the upper midwest of the United States has been a hotspot for hardcore bands that bend genres and refuse to stick to tired formulas, producing acts like Husker Du and Die Kreuzen. Milwaukee's Big Laugh are here to continue that tradition, with a sound that finds them as much at home playing DIY shows in dingy basements as playing large clubs alongside some of hardcore and punk's luminaries.

Recently signed with legendary hardcore label Revelation Records, Big Laugh are set to unleash their debut album, Consume Me, in January 2023. It follows the band's 2020 EP, Manic Revision (11PM Records), which will also see a vinyl reissue from the label. Recorded with producer Matt Russell at Altered States studio in Chicago, Consume Me is an energetic blast of creative hardcore. Self-described “punks who listen to Judge,” Big Laugh work in a wide array of influences - from the blazing speed and harsh noises of Japanese rippers like Gauze and Bastard to the mosh-ready impact of NYHC bands like Burn and Alone In A Crowd, and even some melodic sensibilities akin to the aforementioned Husker Du. The album's lyrics hit close to home for the band, holding personal notions while still feeling outwardly relatable.

Focused on building their own lane, Big Laugh are not afraid of the work it takes to make the masses take notice. Booking their own tours, they have played alongside bands like Revelation Records labelmates Torso and Urban Sprawl, as well as Gel, Spy, No Pressure, and appeared at 2022's massive Sound and Fury Fest in LA that drew more than 5,000 people.

With high ambitions, Big Laugh is centered on creating whatever they want however they want, and Consume Me is just the next step for this young band.

CHELSEA (US)

This is Chelsea - this is where it starts.

It was in August 1976 that Gene October placed an advert in Melody Maker which led to replies from guitarist William Broad, bassist Tony James and drummer John Towe. On October 18th they made their live debut as Chelsea supporting Throbbing Gristle at London's ICA. It was at this time that Gene convinced Andy Czezowski, manager of a gay London nightspot in Covent Garden called Shageramas, to convert the club into London's first live punk rock venue called The Roxy - a fact for which he is given little credit. The band split in November 1976. Gene briefly recruited guitarist Marty Stacey and bassist Bob Jessie. The other three former members formed Generation X. When Gene was asked about his former band colleagues he said, "Generation X? Oh yeah, they used to be in Chelsea."
