Se COMMUTED chiama, noi rispondiamo in un microsecondo, e con il sorriso stampato in faccia. Il motivo è molto semplice: il maestro di Toronto ha in serbo uno dei live act più incredibili su cui abbiamo avuto l’onore di posare occhi e orecchie.
A questo giro lo testiamo al Freakout, e per l’occasione alziamo il carico:
1000voltegatto ha inventato un genere (hyperskramz) e si è reinventato come artista. Il suo set è sempre più affilato e dobbiamo capire a che livello di pazzia sia arrivato in questo momento storico.
Il nome di Loraaxis ci è sempre arrivato sottovoce, con un vento dolce di chitarrine e canzoni sbilenche. Un artista che sicuramente ci ricorda il motivo per cui andiamo ancora ai concerti.

Appassionato di musica elettronica e amante della natura, nel 2023 ha cofondato il progetto “Sketches on Mountain” con l’obiettivo di valorizzare il territorio montano. Ispirato dalla scena underground e affascinato dalla purezza del vinile, Alex fonde elementi Techno, Minimal e Progressive in un viaggio musicale in continua evoluzione, dove introspezione e sperimentazione si intrecciano.

KORINE (US)
Korine is a Philadelphia based duo consisting of members Morgy Ramone and Trey Frye. The pair blends new wave nostalgia, early emo, and punk with a modern pop sensibility, contrasting upbeat rhythms against sullen, emotionally evocative lyrics. Forming in late 2017, the duo’s debut EP ‘Corsage,’ a moody, lo-fi set of self recorded synth driven tracks, gained the band quick traction and a series of tour dates through 2018. The tour garnered the attention of Philadelphia based label Born Losers Records, who went on to release the band’s debut album, ‘New Arrangements.’ Following a successful album release and consistent touring, Frye and Ramone then released an acclaimed two track 7” titled, ‘Uncrossed/To You,’ in the fall of 2019. 2020 saw the release of the band’s most matured set of songs to date, the sophomore album, ‘The Night We Raise,’ which heavily expanded the signature sound of the group while continuing to showcase the pair’s DIY mentality. Despite releasing during quarantine, "The Night We Raise" has sold thousands of vinyl copies and received praise from Bandcamp, Post-punk.com, and Pop Matters. Following a year of isolation, Korine returned to touring in 2021 with a full US Tour supporting chillwave pioneers Small Black and continued into 2022 with several festival appearances including their international debut at wave gotik treffen in Leipzig. Korine have announced their new album "Tear" releasing February 17th 2023.
PHOENIX CAN DIE (IT)
Phoenix Can Die vive tra luce e ombra, fondendo elettronica e alt rock in un flusso continuo che trascina dentro un’altra realtà possibile. Richard e Mirco mescolano chitarre profonde, synth pulsanti e ritmi spezzati, creando uno spazio sonoro ampio, a tratti ipnotico, che immerge, attraversa e trasforma.

VIBRAVOID (DE)
In the early 90s three young musicians from Düsseldorf decided that psychedelic-rock should not die. What followed was a merciless assault on the eardrums and nerves, but also the birth of VIBRAVOID.
Influenced by the psychedelic and garage-rock revival of the 80s and the bands of the late 60s, they quickly found their own sound, which today is generously free of short-term trends and established the band as the European flagship of the genre.
"Turn on! Tune in! And drop out!" That's the credo of the psychedelic and acid rockers from Düsseldorf, or simply what Vibravoid's music is faithfully devoted to. The band is rightly regarded as the heir to classic psychedelia and acid-rock, as comparisons with other contemporary bands are hard to find.
ODONATA X-1 (FR)
Odonata is a psychedelic, atmospheric-progressive-doom-stoner band, formed in 2020 in Limoges-France by Fabienne Albiac (guitar & vocals), joined by Steff Tej (guitar & vocals) , and later by the drummer Stéphane Lhopiteau.

DELTA V
Il 17 ottobre è uscito in fisico nei formati cd, vinile e in digitale “IN FATTI OSTILI” (https://deltav.lnk.to/infattiostili), il nuovo album di inediti dei DELTA V distribuito da Universal Music Italy.
Si tratta del settimo disco di inediti per la band, il secondo dopo “Heimat” (2019), l’album che ha cambiato in maniera decisiva la visione e il modo di fare musica della band di Carlo Bertotti, Flavio Ferri e Marti.
Il tema centrale di questo nuovo lavoro, già preannunciato dal suo titolo e dal singolo apripista “Nazisti dell’Illinois”, è il senso di ostilità che rappresenta un sentimento ormai diffuso e condiviso della società di oggi, sintomo di un grande cambiamento dei tempi rispetto agli anni in cui il progetto Delta V ha visto la luce. La paura del diverso ha oggi sostituito la fiducia, generando a tutti i livelli chiusura e diffidenza.
«Come individui non abbiamo un approccio nostalgico o passatista e i riferimenti al passato sono citazioni che riguardano la nostra formazione – dichiarano i Delta V – tuttavia il senso di mancata appartenenza che proviamo è sintomatico. La musica ha un ruolo sociale, e nel momento in cui si decide di attraversare la vita delle persone raccontandole nelle loro complessità quotidiane arriva ad assumere anche una dimensione politica. Questa è un’epoca di contrapposizioni, di bipolarismi, di negazioni e noi non sentiamo particolarmente vicina nessuna compagine, nessun braccio della bilancia».
