Formed and driven with the passion for the genre and little care for other people's acceptance and interest, the band wrote and recorded what they intended to be their debut album "Indhentet af døden" during the winter of 2008/2009, supported by having played a variety of local shows in the Danish capital region. The debut album eventually got released in January 2010 by the UK based newly founded label Me Saco Un Ojo Records and a little later the Spanish label Xtreem Music, with whom they signed a contract for the first and second album. 2010 and 2011 was spent playing various shows and festivals around Europe and even their first appearance in the US on a 2011 West Coast tour for three weeks around the Chaos in Tejas festival in Austin, Texas. The sophomore album "Til døden os skiller" was released on LP/CD in February 2012 and supported by a European tour the same month and two months later a support job in Brooklyn in New York opening for death metal legends AUTOPSY. CORPUS OFFAL (US) The unexpected demise of Cerebral Rot came swiftly after two renowned cult albums. Yet just as expediently, a malodorous new organism arose in its place, Corpus Offal. Still featuring Cerebral Rot’s rancid core of Ian Schwab (guitar / vox) and Clyle Lindstrom (guitar), the Corpus Offal rhythm section of Jason Sachs (bass) and Jesse Shreibman (drums) now summon intensely elevated waves of stomach-churning nausea. After last year’s demo defloration, Corpus Offal presents its self-titled full length erupting like a festering corpse dragged from a midnight sewer; putrid, pulverizing and perversely invigorating. A bludgeoning autopsy of Death Metal, Gore and Deathgrind, the low-tuned grooves, discordant leads and mid-tempo rumble of Cerebral Rot is evident in tracks like ‘Spinous Forms of Mortal Abhorrence’ and the title-track while setting the bar for a melted transformation into more ghastly liquified forms. Consecrated with an impossibly heavy Billy Anderson production, by the time Corpus Offal reaches its cataclysmic conclusion, you’re left drained, disoriented, and left wondering whether you’ve survived a masterpiece or witnessed the musical equivalent of a snuff film. The pair blends new wave nostalgia, early emo, and punk with a modern pop sensibility, contrasting upbeat rhythms against sullen, emotionally evocative lyrics. Forming in late 2017, the duo’s debut EP ‘Corsage,’ a moody, lo-fi set of self recorded synth driven tracks, gained the band quick traction and a series of tour dates through 2018. The tour garnered the attention of Philadelphia based label Born Losers Records, who went on to release the band’s debut album, ‘New Arrangements.’ Following a successful album release and consistent touring, Frye and Ramone then released an acclaimed two track 7” titled, ‘Uncrossed/To You,’ in the fall of 2019. 2020 saw the release of the band’s most matured set of songs to date, the sophomore album, ‘The Night We Raise,’ which heavily expanded the signature sound of the group while continuing to showcase the pair’s DIY mentality. INFO E ORARI QUI UNSANE (US) DOPPIO SHOW PER L'UNICA DATA ITALIANA DI OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD TOUR Il quarto album degli Unsane ha lasciato un'orma indelebile nel panorma noise internazionale, marcato da un sound abrasivo che arriva come un macigno composto da elementi di punk, metal e industrial music che riportano alla dimensione intensamente urbana tipica della band. L'uscita nel 1998 di "Occupational Hazard" rappresenta un vero e proprio punto di svolta per la cultura rock sub-mainstream pre-millennial, avendo raggiunto un pubblico vastissimo a causa del successivo inserimento del brano “Committed” nella colonna sonora di Pro Skater di Tony Hawk, rendendola la canzone degli Unsane più ascoltata nella storia. Originariamente uscito per la Relapse Records, l'album è stato rimasterizzato da Andrew Schneider, sound engineer nonché storico collaboratore della band. Tutti i formati in cui sarà stampata la riedizione includeranno la bonus track "No Soul" che uscì in prima istanza per la famigerata etichetta Man's Ruin di Frank Kozik nella sola edizione limitata in vinile. Gli Unsane hanno inoltre reso disponibile in formato digitale la sessione demo originale di 6 brani dell'album, registrata presso gli AmRep Studios di Minneapolis. COSANOSTRA (IT) I Cosa Nostra si sono formati all’inizio degli anni 2000 dall’unione di due gruppi e di alcuni amici che gravitavano attorno ad Atlantide: Sumo e Summer League. Nel 2002 registrano una versione di “Nichilistaggio” dei Nabat per la compilation CD What the Hell We’re Still Doing Here (Rumble Fish). In seguito si perdono le loro tracce, fatta eccezione per un concerto tenuto nel 2012 ad Atlantide. Opening act: òvera. A luci spente, succedono a volte cose importanti. Lontano dai riflettori. Come scene fuori campo, eppure determinanti. È stata così un po' tutta la carriera di Giorgio Ciccarelli. Ha attraversato quattro decadi suonando con chiunque ed ovunque, in Italia e all’estero, a dimostrazione che si può essere grandi, nel rock, senza essere rockstar. Senza nemmeno volerlo essere. Già, perché Giorgio non è mai stato interessato alle luci della ribalta, ha sempre lavorato nell’ombra, eppure da quando ha imbracciato la chitarra, nei momenti topici della cosiddetta scena indie milanese, è sempre stato presente… con la sua prima band, i Colour Moves, dopo l’uscita del primo 45 giri nel 1986, ha partecipato al tributo ai Velvet Underground della storica etichetta Crazy Mannequin. Era nel giro dell’altrettanto storica Vox Pop quando, con i suoi Sundowner, ha partecipato al tributo ai Joy Division edito da questa etichetta, con il brano “Dead Souls” (ripubblicato poi anche nel primo CD degli stessi Sundowner “Heliotrope”). È entrato come bassista nei Carnival of Fools (con Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi alla voce) nel 1990, dando vita alla formazione più “estrema e delirante” di questo gruppo (memorabili i concerti tenuti a Brera occupata e di supporto ai Beasts of Bourbon). Sempre al basso nei Carnival, col pezzo “Shadow of a doubt”, ha partecipato al tributo ai Sonic Youth dell’etichetta Electric Eye di Claudio Sorge. Negli anni ‘90 ha fondato i Sux! - band considerata dalla critica tra le più originali della scena rock italiana - pubblicando 4 dischi. Senza dimenticare i 15 anni di militanza negli Afterhours - una delle band rock più importanti d’Italia - che culmina con il suo contributo compositivo nel pluripremiato Padania, uno dei dischi fondamentali di questa storica band. Musicista eclettico, è stato capace di interpretare vari ruoli all’interno delle band in cui suonato, dal bassista, al chitarrista, passando per tastierista, cantante, nonché fonico. Oltre ai già citati Afterhours, Carnival of fools, Sux!, Colour Moves e Sundowner, ha collaborato con Maciunas, Giancarlo Onorato, Volwo, A Short Apnea, Echidna, Sebastian e molti altri… Nel 2015, Giorgio ha intrapreso la carriera solista, facendo uscire da allora tre dischi a suo nome, sperimentando anche al di fuori della musica. Il suo primo disco “Le cose cambiano” (2015) percorre infatti la via dell’interdisciplinarità tra arti, nello specifico tra musica e fumetto. Ad ogni brano del disco corrisponde una tavola, un disegno, un fumetto, prodotto da 13 tra i più importanti artisti visivi italiani, Paolo Bacilieri, Alessandro Baronciani, Bruno Brindisi, Claudio Calia, Paolo Castaldi, Giorgio Cavanazzano, Alberto Corradi, Giuseppe Palumbo, Claudio Sciarrone, Sergio Tanara, Sio, Tuono Pettinato, Silvia Ziche, il tutto sotto la direzione di Tito Faraci (sceneggiatore, romanziere, nonché autore dei testi di Giorgio) e raccolto in un libretto allegato al disco. Il secondo disco “Bandiere” (2018) - realizzato con il solo contributo dei suoi sostenitori attraverso un crowdfundig - mantiene una linea di continuità con l’esperienza interdisciplinare tra arti: all’interno è presente un acquerello di Paolo Castaldi che dà una libera interpretazione visiva dell’intero lavoro. Nel terzo disco “Niente demoni e dei” (2021) la sperimentazione torna dalle parti della musica con la produzione artistica affidata completamente a Stefano Keen Maggiore (Immanuel Casto, Romina Falconi, The Andre) che dà una sterzata totalmente elettronica alle canzoni di Giorgio (con i testi sempre di Tito), mentre la contaminazione tra arti si traduce questa volta in un’opera del maestro Milo Manara in copertina. Giunti al 2025, ecco che Giorgio Ciccarelli si ripropone con “A Luci Spente” il suo nuovo disco, il quarto da “solista”, sostantivo che mai come questa volta risulta essere appropriato. Infatti Giorgio ha composto, suonato, arrangiato, registrato, mixato e infine prodotto l’intero lavoro completamente da solo. In questa bolla di isolamento è potuto entrare solo l’ormai inseparabile socio in musica ed amico Tito Faraci, scrivendo testi di canzoni che non aveva mai sentito prima. Così, in un certo senso, anche Tito ha potuto operare a luci spente, libero, in una sorta di paradossale solitudine condivisa. Questo perché, fra Tito e Giorgio, c'era e c’è una piena sintonia di pensieri e sensazioni. Una visione del mondo comune descritta con parole spesso cariche di tristezza, di amarezza, di rabbia e di dolore. Condividere per liberarsi e, allo stesso tempo, aiutare chi ascolta a farlo. Anche il più pesante fardello può risultare leggero, tollerabile, quando si scopre di non essere gli unici al mondo a portarlo. È forse questo il senso ultimo delle canzoni di questo disco. Il loro fine, la loro motivazione. Quello che, dalla sofferenza, porta a una speranza. Riaccende, in fondo, una luce.
